Tournaments Arrangement Instructions

To arrange the billiard tournament (any game - depending on tables, installed in your club) using online service billiard4u.net you do not have to know thoroughly the work of the tournament's secretary: you should only introduce specific data, the system will automatically generate everything and will help you to arrange your tournament with a high-quality at the summit level. Conditionally the work of service can be divided on 4 parts: entering the tournament's announcement, registration of participants and referees, assigning of matches and entering the results.

Using online service billiard4u.net for arranging of billiard championships and tournaments in your club, you obtain the possibility to reduce considerably working, financial and moral expenditures, and the unique possibility to cover your tournament in Internet in real time mode.

Step 1.

In order to use the service you have to register and besides, the account of your club must be positive. To sign in the system you should enter your name and password, indicated during registration.

User's registration is free, club's registration is paid, the user can register any quantity of clubs and carry out tournaments.

Step 2.

Move on to the section "Tournaments". For the registered clubs there is a possibility here to add new tournaments, and also a possibility to choose one from your previous announcements. To register a new tournament it is necessary to press "add new tournament" button and further to follow step-by-step instructions. If you decide to go ahead with one of your pre-announced events it is necessary to select it from the list.

Step 3.

After pressing the button "add new tournament" you will be consecutively given the windows, where you are to fill the specific fields (All bold fields must be filled out). On the first page enter the name of your tournament, type of the game from combo-box (which is given according to the tables of your club), and also a brief description, for example: "billiard tournament is assigned for the club members only". After filling all the fields press the "submit" button.

Step 4.

Indicate terms of the tournament's arrangement (when it starts and the duration period), time of the beginning of the competitions, the time of the final, and also the last date to register the participants. The given information will be placed on the page of announcements and will become available to all billiards amateurs. Pay your attention: after draw of the participants and beginning of your championship you cannot add players any more!

Step 5.

The scheduling of your tournament consists of several steps. At the beginning you should indicate the quantity of the stages in your tournament (1 - only final stage or 2 - qualification and final stage). To form the preliminary scheduling it is necessary to indicate the expected quantity of the participants. Pay attention: this parameter is necessary only to form a preliminary scheduling and will be subsequently changed depending on the quantity of the registered participants! if you have several strong players, which will be "seeded", please, indicate the quantity. Service seeds the strongest players, so that they could face each other as late as possible in your tournament, closer to the final.

Step 6.

Arranging one stage (final) indicate bracket, which you Would like to use:

a) single elimination ("Olympic");

b) double elimination;

c) round robin;

Arranging two stages you have a possibility to break participants into several groups and to arrange one scheduling (for example, round robin), and to derive several best participants into the final part of the competitions using another scheduling. The given possibility allows you to organize the optimal variant of arranging tournaments depending on the quantity of the tables installed in your club, quantity of the participants and some other factors.

Step 7.

Each match can consist of several frames. Indicate the quantity of frames necessary to win the match. For example, to play race to 3 victories will mean, that player, who won in 3 frames of five possible becomes winner of the match.

Step 8.

If you want to predetermine the starting payment of the participants, and also the prize fund and its distribution, indicate the amount, quantity of participants, among which it is distributed (for example, 3 prize places), and also the entry fee.

Step 9.

Indicate sums, which will obtain your prize-winners. Pay your attention: the sum of prize fund must coincide with distributed between the participants! after sending this information, your announcement becomes available to the visitors in Internet.

Step 10.

After you placed information about the forthcoming tournament there is a possibility to introduce some corrections into your announcement before the beginning of the event. So on the page of the championship's announcement select section, which you would like to correct (scheduling of arrangement, prize fund, general information, etc.)

In the top part of the tournament page you can find the sub-menu, which ships you into the section of players, referees, matches and brackets.

The section of players contains information about participants of the tournament, players of your club and all the players in billiard4u.net base, it's also allow you to register new players in the forthcoming championship.

Section of referees is the same as players section and makes it possible to add new referee or to select one you invited from the general base.

The matches section contains information about scheduled, running and finished matches, and after the end of the tournament - final protocol with distribution of places and added rating points.

In the section of brackets you can load brackets in html- format, or print pdf- version of all documents.
